Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook who will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients and dishes that delight our guests. Experience and attention to food safety standards, plus the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will help ensure our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, stoves, and food prep machinery.
• Follow strict food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
• Assist with meal preparation for service periods, including portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools through regular cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques for new dishes or specials.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food service environment.
• Demonstrated knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards during production.
• Experience with meal planning, recipe adherence, and catering is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
