Machine Operator - Graveyard Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator - Graveyard Shift for a direct hire opportunity in West Hazleton, PA. This role is ideal for candidates with manufacturing, production, warehouse, machine operation, or forklift experience who are looking for steady overnight work in a safety-focused production environment.

The Machine Operator will operate production equipment, support quality standards, assist with shipping and receiving activities, and safely move materials throughout the facility using a forklift. Key Responsibilities

- Operate machines and production equipment safely according to instructions, procedures, and manufacturing specifications.
- Set up, adjust, monitor, and support equipment to ensure smooth operation, quality output, and production efficiency.
- Inspect product quality, identify defects, and discard or rework faulty products as required.
- Maintain accurate daily production records and participate in daily management activities such as cleaning, inspection, lubrication, tightening, centerlining, and defect handling.
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and products, and assist with shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and inventory verification.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on palletizing equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and support multiple production areas as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay: $22.10 per hour.
- Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
- Location: West Hazleton, PA.
- Overtime and holiday work may be required based on business needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Operate production machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Support forklift operation, material movement, palletizing equipment, and production line needs.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, and inventory verification.
- Maintain production records, quality standards, and safe work practices throughout the shift.

- 1 to 2 years of previous experience in a manufacturing, production, machining, CNC, or warehouse environment.
- Current forklift certification or ability to become forklift certified.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to set up, adjust, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment within established procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and share knowledge with other team members.
- Strong adaptability, willingness to learn new skills, and desire for continuous improvement.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Willingness to flex schedule when needed, including extended shifts, weekends, holidays, or temporary shift changes for business needs, training, or coverage.
- Must be accessible by telephone and have reliable transportation.
- Must be at the workstation at the beginning of the shift and maintain reliable attendance.
- Must continuously follow all safety policies and procedures and wear required PPE.
- Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience operating palletizing equipment.
- Experience with daily management systems, including cleaning, inspection, lubrication, tightening, centerlining, and defect handling.
- Prior experience in a high-performance work organization or team-based manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory verification in a production facility.
