Engineering Manager

Position Summary:
Northwest Aerospace Technologies, a Safran company, the engineering manager is responsible for the engineering groups, disciplines, and deliverables and projects assigned to them by the Director of Engineering

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Engineering Manager is expected to be intimately involved in the day-to-day execution of engineering projects and deliverables. Managing the performance of the engineering groups/disciplines assigned to him/her. Specifically:
• Maintaining appropriate NAT quality standards throughout the design, development, substantiation, installation and support phases of projects
• Hire, train, and mentor other engineers and supporting staff
• Analyze market demand and available resources
• Ensuring engineering projects are completed on time and within budget
• Development, implementation and maintenance of Engineering procedures and work instructions
• Check technical accuracy of work
• Work with other engineering managers as a management team.
• Communicate company vision and objectives of engineering department
• Maintain a skilled, productive, and motivated work force
• Support marketing by developing Technical Proposals, kits lists, NRE, etc.
• Understand and promote all health, safety and environmental legal and regulatory
requirements including company policies and standards. Lead by example, enforce and sustain a strong-minded safety culture and compliance driven practices in the work environment.

• Four-year technical degree
• Twelve or more years of broad technical experience, with at least seven of those years being in the aerospace industry desired.
• Additional training in leadership, management, business administration, program management, and/or risk management preferred.
