Respiratory Therapist PRN / Part-Time

Overview Respiratory Therapist PRN / Part-Time role at SuperCare Health (USA) . Essential duties include assessment of patients’ needs and the selection, instruction, and troubleshooting of appropriate respiratory equipment and/or services, along with maintaining appropriate documentation. Responsibilities Receives and documents the order for respiratory equipment and/or services from the customer, patient, caregiver, physician, or family member. Collects additional information or documentation needed from insurance or physician. Assesses the patient’s needs and determines the best choice of respiratory therapy or services. Instructs and educates the patient, family, or caregiver on the proper use and care of respiratory equipment according to written policies and procedures. Communicates with the patient’s physician about changes in condition or needs and adjusts the Plan of Care accordingly. Completes patient accounts paperwork including Plan of Care, treatments, and assessments. Serves as liaison between SuperCare Health, the patient, family, caregiver, and physician. Assumes responsibility for professional actions, skills, and conduct. Follows all policies and procedures as outlined by JCAHO. Provides follow-up visits for respiratory patients and assists in continuity of care as determined by policy and procedure. Provides 24-hour on-call service, seven days a week as scheduled. Sets up respiratory equipment within the appointment/ETA to ensure patient satisfaction. Provides services for the marketing department and other departments as necessary. Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with patients. Maintains a professional, safe, and clean work environment and adheres to company policies. Remains knowledgeable about all products and services offered. Education And/or Work Experience Graduate from an accredited RT care program (licensed RCP). Experience as Respiratory Therapist PRN. Thorough knowledge and skill related to the respiratory care field. Excellent customer service and communication skills. People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others. Detail oriented. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
