Coordinator of Clinical Placements

Position Title Coordinator of Clinical Placements Location Rogers Park-Lake Shore Campus, School of Nursing (02400A) Department School of Nursing Job Summary The Coordinator is part of the MNSON's clinical placement team and is responsible for securing and coordinating clinical experiences, facilitating onboarding of students and clinical instructors for all clinical courses across the BSN, MSN, and DNP programs. Responsibilities Manage administrative activities for clinical placement of BSN, MSN, and DNP students, including submitting and tracking site requests, tracking affiliation agreements, preparing documents, and monitoring student and instructor submissions. Foster new relationships with organizations and preceptors in collaboration with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and MNSON faculty. Manage communication with students, clinical instructors, and clinical partners during all phases of the placement process. Serve as liaison between clinical and agency personnel and MNSON regarding program requirements. Maintain clinical site onboarding requirements using learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace, Sakai) and advise staff on changes in agency requirements. Manage data entry and update of clinical site and partner contact information. Assist in monitoring student compliance with MNSON pre‑clinical requirements. Prepare required reports. Coordinate preceptor and partner appreciation and recognition activities. Utilize technology systems including Excel, Zoom, Castle Branch, Qualified First, Sakai, myClinicalExchange, Microsoft Office 360, and Qualtrics. Leverage social media to connect and expand the MNSON preceptor community. Assume additional responsibilities as designated by the Director of Strategic Healthcare Partnerships and assist with MNSON events and special projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Higher Education, Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Two or more years of related experience; bachelor's degree required. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and with diverse groups. Commitment to fostering collaboration and building relationships within healthcare systems and external and internal partners. Team‑building experience and maintaining business relationships. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, especially during higher education peak periods. Experience with Social Media preferred. Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in a related field and three to five years of related experience. Computer Skills Strong technology skills required, advanced Excel proficiency preferred; comfortable learning and navigating new technologies.
