About the Position

• Requirements: Board Certified, Active MD License, NRP. 
• Schedule: 12 hour or 24 hour shifts available, days, nights, weekends and holidays. Current need is for 3 shifts per week.

• To be considered:
• Must have an active state license due to board timelines.
• level III NICU, Complex cases will be transferred to level 4.
• Opening a new NICU next month, we will have 18 beds. The ADC is 10-12 patients.
• NICU APP will attend high risk deliveries. If the APP is busy, the NICU attending will go if in house or the in-house pediatrician. APP will response to all infant codes throughout the hospital.
• Procedures: Intubations, umbilical arterial and venous catheter placements, PICC line, lumbar punctures, ventilation management,
• CAPA, high-frequency ventilation. Chest tube placement is preferred, as this is done with attending.
• Respiratory therapy is available onsite 24/7
• The neonatologist is on site during the day approx 8a-4p, they can be called in whenever needed. Response time is typically <30mins.
• Currently will run with 1 APP per shift. If acuity or census is high (>10 pts/>8 with vents) will request for 2 APP per shift.
