About The Role

The Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring credit programmes to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.

We're looking for a Head of Legal to lead some of the most exciting and challenging legal issues that impact our fast-growing, disruptive global fintech in India. You'll be advising and responding to high-priority, complex topics.

What You'll Be Doing

• Advising on compliance and legal issues surrounding the structuring of new and existing financial products in India
• Negotiating with external partners on a variety of commercial agreements, including third-party, operations, services, and marketing agreements
• Helping to interpret and monitor changes to regulatory guidelines while proactively handling regulatory developments and advising internal stakeholders
• Liaising with specialist external counsel in relation to new products, expansion into new market verticals, and areas of compliance, privacy, or security
• Designing and implementing processes for efficient and streamlined contract negotiation and operations
• Developing and maintaining form agreements, contract management systems, and other databases
• Serving as lead counsel on strategic deals, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries
• Driving ongoing compliance review processes, including necessary filings, policies, and procedures
• Providing time-sensitive support on an array of legal inquiries

What You'll Need

• 10+ years of experience in a legal function within a regulated entity in India
• An in-depth understanding of the local regulatory landscape in India and how it relates to digital banks
• Expertise in financial regulations related to payments and banking services
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
• A collaborative mindset
• Confidence making decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete information
• Experience providing strategic leadership and direction while remaining hands-on in execution and with operational details
• A proven ability to navigate complex legal issues and deliver results under tight time constraints
• Knowledge of complex transaction management
• To thrive in entrepreneurial environments while consistently driving results and adapting quickly to shifting priorities

Nice To Have

• Experience in regulated startup environments
• Expertise in launching and scaling banking operations
• Knowledge of legal matters relevant to technology companies, such as corporate structuring and intragroup arrangements
