AdvantaClean of Cabarrus & Rowan Counties is hiring an experienced, dependable technician who wants to build a long-term career with a locally owned company serving the area since 2008.

We specialize in mold remediation, emergency water mitigation, moisture control, crawl space solutions, HVAC/duct cleaning, and odor mitigation. Our work includes detailed remediation projects for customers with significant indoor air quality concerns, where workmanship, cleanliness, and communication matter.

The Position

This is a hands-on field position. You will work alongside our team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The work can be physically demanding and includes crawl spaces, attics, demolition, cleaning, and equipment handling.

You will join us as a technician, with the opportunity to advance into a lead technician role as you demonstrate technical ability, sound judgment, dependable communication, and the ability to guide others. Candidates with previous crew leadership experience are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

• Perform mold remediation, including containment setup, selective demolition, HEPA vacuuming, and detailed surface cleaning
• Assist with water extraction, structural drying, moisture monitoring, and equipment setup
• Complete crawl space work, including insulation removal and replacement, vapor barrier installation, and moisture control improvements
• Perform HVAC/duct cleaning and other indoor air quality services
• Protect customers’ homes and belongings and maintain clean, organized job sites
• Document job conditions, progress, and completed work with photos and clear notes
• Communicate professionally with customers and keep your supervisor informed of progress, concerns, and changing conditions
• Care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles and follow established safety procedures

As you develop in the role, responsibilities may expand to coordinating daily tasks, training newer technicians, and directing temporary labor.

Experience and Qualifications

Prior hands-on experience in mold remediation, water mitigation, restoration, or crawl space work is strongly preferred. Tell us what you have personally done on these projects.

IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, or AMRT, mold remediation certifications, and NADCA credentials are valued. Crawl space experience is especially helpful. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable taking direction, and willing to learn our procedures. You should be able to recognize a problem, communicate it promptly, and help work toward a solution.

Applicants must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, including working in confined spaces, using appropriate personal protective equipment, and moving tools and equipment.

Pay and Growth - Starting pay is $22–$27 per hour , based on directly relevant experience, certifications, and demonstrated skills.
