Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an inpatient Innovation Design Unit (IDU) focused on adult medical-surgical patients, operating within a primary nursing care model with ratios of 1:4-5 (days) and 1:5-6 (nights)
• Participate in the testing and validation of innovative care models, technology, and facility design concepts including virtual nursing, virtual sitter, ambient monitoring, and interactive patient experience platforms
• Administer and manage IV drips as required across all floors
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float frequently to other units and campuses as needed to meet staffing needs, within scope of practice
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs (where assigned)

• Active RN license (or pending Nebraska RN state license - candidates without license in hand at time of submission will be scheduled with a six-week-out start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, obtained at a large, urban hospital; candidates with 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center may also be considered
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• IV drip management experience required
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates must be available to work 4 weekend shifts out of every 8 possible in a 4-week period (Days: Saturday and Sunday)
• Travelers are expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays during the winter holiday period (Thanksgiving: Wed/Thu/Fri; Christmas: Dec 24/25/26; New Year's: Dec 31/Jan 1/2)
• This is a 100% nicotine-free facility; compliance is required
• RNs are required to wear facility-branded Steele gray scrubs

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience working in a large, urban, or academic medical center environment
• Familiarity with progressive care or telemetry patient populations
• Comfort working in a dynamic, innovation-focused care environment with evolving technology and processes
