Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $3,094 per week

Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, four 10-hour shifts per week, starting at 6:30 AM, with a rotating day off. Holiday rotation required. Requirements: 24 months of current hospital OR experience OR circulating experience Experience with General Surgery, da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma EPIC experience within the past 3 years Trauma Level II experience Completed a travel assignment within the past 15 months; first-time travelers not accepted Active Iowa or Compact RN license Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Willingness to float between Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital Preferred: Scrub experience, including orthopedic scrubbing; Level I Trauma experience; and experience in Neurology, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, ENT, and Vascular Surgery. Call Requirements: One overnight call shift per week and three weekends per 13-week assignment. Submission Requirements: Resume/work history documenting 24 months of current OR experience OR nursing and scrubbing skills checklists Active Iowa or Compact license verification through Nursys Driver’s license Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS Professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred Additional Information: EPIC EMR. Facility-provided scrubs. Must work 1–2 of the upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed. Candidates are being interviewed quickly.
