About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Endovascular experience Vascular service line experience EVAR experience Preferred experience with CSI and Penumbra Description: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. First time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. A ratio of 1:1 is maintained in the unit. Candidates must possess skills in abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic aneurysm repair, arteriovenous fistula repair, carotid angioplasty, carotid artery stenting, carotid endarterectomy, and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Experience with CVOR, endovascular aneurysm repair, intra-aortic balloon pump, MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, TEVAR, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and ventricular assist devices is preferred. Overnight call is required after shifts approximately 2 times per week. Regular day call is also required about once a month. Additionally, there may be about 2 weekend call shifts. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. For two major holidays, the expectation is to work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of them. Full compliance is required to start on time. Clinical screens will be conducted on a case-by-case basis to ensure proper fit for the position.
