About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

Location: Pomona, CA
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Start Date: 05/27/2026
Shift: Mid Shift – 5x8 (03:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Openings: 1

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sterilization processes, instrumentation handling, and decontamination procedures.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience
CRCST or CBSPD Certification
BLS Certification
High school diploma or equivalent

Required Skills & Experience

Decontamination and disinfection procedures
Instrument tray assembly and case cart preparation
High-level disinfection (HLD)
Use of washers, sterilizers, and ultrasonic equipment
Knowledge of surgical instruments across specialties
Familiarity with sterilization standards (AAMI, AORN, Title 22)

Additional Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods
Strong communication and basic computer skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Weekends, on-call, and holidays required
Local candidates only
