Pipeline Engineer

The Pipeline Engineer provides technical management assistance on projects within HGA's Integrated Services division. Serves as the technical lead on pipeline projects. Also, assists in budgeting, man-powering, scheduling, and forecasting projects as directed by the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities- Mentor and guide team of less experienced engineers
- Serve as lead engineer on pipeline projects ranging from integrity replacement, shorter midstream laterals to major transmission projects
- Assist in defining project scopes, goals and deliverables.
- Assist in pipeline design, routing and workspace layout
- Perform calculations relating to pipeline design
- Ensure project designs comply with appropriate regulatory requirements of DOT 192 or 195
- Manage project resource allocation for assigned tasks.
- Monitor and report on progress of assigned projects and tasks.
- Ensure project is operating within quality assurance guidelines.
- Coordinate with drafting resources for development of project deliverables
- Assist in tracking and reporting project changes to Project Manager
- Assist in the development of proposals
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
- Professional Engineer license required.
- 10+ years of related experience in a consulting engineering firm or operating company.
- Experience as project engineer for intrastate and interstate pipeline projects.
- Experience supporting pipeline projects through permitting processes - FERC 7c, Corp of Engineers 404.
- Must be located within daily commuting distance of the HGA office in Lexington, KY, Birmingham, AL, Ruston, LA, or Monroe, LA.
