Role: Java Developer with Hadoop

Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Visa Type: All valid USA visas

Experience: 10 15 years

Must-Have Qualifications:

10 15 years of experience in Java/backend application development
Strong hands-on experience with Core Java 10+/11+/17+
Strong experience with Spring Boot
Hands-on experience developing Microservices Architecture
Strong experience developing RESTful Web Services/APIs
Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
Experience with OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes
Strong experience with Oracle SQL / PL-SQL or similar relational databases
Experience with JUnit and Mockito
Experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines
Basic to intermediate experience with the Hadoop ecosystem
Working knowledge of HDFS, YARN, and Hive
Experience with basic Hive query development and troubleshooting
Understanding of data ingestion and batch processing workflows
Experience working with Hadoop-based data platforms to support application development
Experience with distributed data platforms and messaging systems
Strong understanding of software design patterns and secure coding practices
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Experience with code reviews, testing, deployment, production support, and performance optimization
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark
Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB
Experience with Splunk or Dynatrace
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Banking / Financial Services domain experience
Experience with DevSecOps practices

Note: Hadoop is a secondary skill. Candidates are not expected to have deep Hadoop administration, cluster management, or advanced Big Data Engineering experience.
