Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in a fully onsite direct hire position. The ideal candidate will have experience processing high-volume invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
• Review invoices for proper approvals and coding before entry.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Research and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure compliance with company payment terms.
• Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and other departments to resolve invoice issues.
• Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience processing invoices in a high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of three-way matching, GL coding, and vendor reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and data management.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage, Dynamics GP, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
