Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist

This position is located in the Department of Justice, Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Enterprise Operations, Platforms, and Solutions Staff (EOPS). The OCIO advises agency clients on national issues regarding the design, modernization, use, sharing, and performance of information resources of the United States Attorneys' offices (USAOs) and EOUSA. Applicants must meet or exceed the minimum proficiency levels for the required competencies listed above and experience for the grade level(s) for which they are applying. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. To qualify at the GS-13 level, you must possess: Specialized Experience Providing technical advice, guidance, or recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT security issues; Utilizing methods and procedures to protect information systems and data by ensuring their availability, authentication, confidentiality, or integrity; Applying information systems security concepts, methods, architecture, or project management methods to review and evaluate security policies; Ensuring the implementation of security policies and plans that ensure a robust level of protection is provided for applications and databases.
