Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and designing functional treatment programs to ensure effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment.
• Create and actively manage an individualized professional development plan.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure.
• Demonstrate awareness and participation in organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
