CNC Field Service EngineerWe are partnered with an amazing CNC Machine Tool Builder on their search for CNC Field Service Engineers! As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance support for CNC machine tools at customer facilities nationwide. This role is critical to ensuring optimal machine performance and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical and mechanical expertise, advanced diagnostic skills, and a customer-first mindset. Reporting to the CNC Field Service Manager, this position can be based anywhere East of the Mississippi, with preference given to candidates located within an hour of an airport and/or IL, TN, KY, AL, and OH.ResponsibilitiesInstall new CNC machine tool systems at customer sites, including all options and accessoriesPerform machine leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments to ensure peak performanceDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application-related issuesIdentify root causes and recommend corrective actions including repair or replacement solutionsProvide on-site and remote technical support via phone, email, and other communication channelsSupport customers, distributors, and internal teams with technical guidance and problem resolutionProvide customer training and assist with project coordination as neededProvide service support at trade shows and company events when requiredMaintain detailed service documentation and reportingTravel extensively (100%) including overnights and occasional weekend travelPerform other duties as neededRequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience5+ years of experience in CNC machine tool maintenance and service (electrical and mechanical)5+ years of experience providing remote technical support within the machine tool industryProven experience installing and servicing machining centers, including leveling and geometric alignmentStrong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshootingExperience with CNC control systems, including FANUC controlsSolid understanding of power circuits and industrial electrical systemsExcellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skillsAbility to travel extensively (100% during weekdays) and work independently in the field
