Role The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) provides compassionate, timely care to sexual assault victims, including medical-forensic exams, prophylaxis, documentation, and referrals for follow-up and legal support. Responsibilities Conduct non-judgmental assessments Perform forensic documentation Administer medical treatments Support victims through legal processes Qualifications Must have a valid Texas RN license Current SANE certification or in-progress with a 6-month completion window TNCC certification or in-progress within 6 months Experience Preferred two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care experience. Skills Compassionate communication Forensic knowledge Ability to work variable shifts night shift availability on-call capacity Additional info Requires educational background from an accredited nursing program, preferably with a BSN.
