About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in San Diego, California, 92102!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required. License: Valid CA state license required. Certifications: Chemotherapy certification required, ACLS certification required. Must-Have: Ability to float to various locations as needed. Description: Chemo certification is required. Candidates must have no requested time off and a clinical pass. Registered Nurses will be required to work at multiple locations during the contract. Floating to the emergency department inpatient overflow may be necessary. The unit accepts first-time travelers with experience in IV starts, telemetry, phlebotomy, and A-line procedures. Patient ratios are 1:3 for PCU, 1:4 for telemetry, and 1:5 for medical-surgical units. Documentation will be completed using the EPIC system and Pyxis for medication management. A four-week schedule will be provided to the nurse two weeks prior. No blocked or self-scheduling is allowed. A phone call will be made two hours before each shift to inform the nurse of the assigned facility for that shift. Candidates must comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements, with exemptions only granted for medical or religious reasons. References are required from two managerial supervisors. Candidates must be able to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on staffing requirements. Background checks are mandatory, and any license or background issues must be disclosed prior to submission. Previous travel experience is considered an asset. Modules may be required for compliance and will be scheduled during orientation and annually.
