Senior Manager, Operations

Senior Manager leading day-to-day manufacturing operations at Phenomenex's El Dorado Hills facility. Responsible for delivering safe, compliant, high-quality products through operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cross-functional leadership aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production plans, shipment commitments, and site priorities
- Translate annual operating objectives into departmental targets, visual management, and accountability structures
- Optimize capacity, labor, equipment, materials, and workflow in partnership with supply chain and logistics
- Partner with quality and regulatory teams to resolve nonconformances, deviations, and quality issues
- Lead, coach, and develop operations team through goal-setting, feedback, and succession planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or science-related field
- 2+ years of people management experience
- 5+ years in gas chromatography instrumentation and separations production
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 standards and lean principles
- Demonstrated competency in production planning, capacity management, cost management, and quality systems
- Experience with operational data analysis, performance metrics, budgeting, and financial drivers
Compensation: $114,000–$140,000 base, plus bonus/incentive pay eligibility
