Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with acute care vent experience for a Level 2B nursery, MICU, and Med/Surg hospital setting on night shift.

Details

• Hospital setting with 371 licensed beds including 220 Med/Surg beds, MICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, and Level 2B Nursery
• 13-week assignment at 36 hours per week
• Night shift schedule with straight nights (19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Staffing ratio includes 4 Respiratory Therapists on Night shift
• Utilizes PB980 Ventilator and Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator
• Day shift positions may rotate to 11a-11p when needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in one location
• 1 to 2 years of experience working as a Traveler
• Vent experience required in an acute care setting
• Ability to draw arterial blood gases
• RRT certification required
• Active MA Respiratory Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required (AHA only accepted at this facility)
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Day shift team includes 1 Charge Respiratory Therapist, 2 assigned to a 20-bed ICU, and 2 assigned to Med/Surg floors
• Local candidates permitted with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston, MA
