Job Summary:
Operating Room First Assistant (ORFA) in Lakeport, California. This position involves providing specialized assistance during surgical procedures within a busy surgical unit. The role requires credentialed professionals with surgical experience to support a variety of complex cases, ensuring patient safety and adherence to surgical standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse License; BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; CNOR & CRNFA credentials; at least 2 years of surgical experience; travel experience preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRNFA, PALS, CNOR.
• Specific Skills: Abdominal hysterectomy, acute hospital operating room procedures, amputations, ankle fusion, anterior/posterior repair (Colporrhaphy), appendectomy, applying tourniquets, knee/shoulder/wrist arthroscopy, aseptic technique, drainage system management, bilateral tubal ligation, bronchoscopy, bunionectomy, cesarean sections, case cart management, cholecystectomy, fracture reduction, colon resection, sponge counting, crash cart management, dilation & curettage, use of drills and electrosurgical units, endo/laparoscopic procedures, fiber optic equipment, general and gynecological surgeries, hernia repair, PPE and isolation precautions, laparoscopic-assisted gynecological procedures, orthopedics (ORIF shoulder, hip, humerus), podiatry, IV placement, suctioning, irrigation, sponging, total joint replacements, vaginal hysterectomy.
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics.
• Patient Census: 8-12 patients daily.
• Additional Information: Will split call with other RNFA; two weekends per month; orientation hours totaling 40. No separation time required for return staff/travelers.

• Onboarding & Compliance: Labs to be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing; 7-year work history verification required; all documents due 10 days prior to start.
• RTO and Holiday Policies: Max RTO of 7 days per contract; holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, with specific timing protocols.
