Job Description
\nRWJBarnabas Health, New Jerseys largest integrated health care system, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to join the Department of Pediatrics at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. This position offers a robust inpatient setting with opportunities for clinical care, teaching, and collaboration in a mission-driven environment.
\nPosition Overview
\nThe Pediatric Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care for both our newborn nursery and inpatient pediatric units while supporting resident and medical student education. This role includes participation in quality and safety initiatives and departmental activities to ensure delivery of exceptional pediatric care.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Admit and manage general pediatric patients on A5. \n
- Provide consultations to surgical patients and complete history and physicals for CCIS (inpatient pediatric behavioral health). \n
- Deliver in-hospital care to newborns and attend deliveries as requested. \n
- Supervise, precept, teach, and mentor medical students and residents. \n
- Participate in didactic sessions, board preparation, and resident evaluations. \n
- Contribute to pediatric quality, safety, and performance improvement projects. \n
- Attend departmental/divisional meetings and participate in administrative duties as assigned. \n
- Share call coverage on an equal, rotating basis. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics \n
- NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey \n
- Prior pediatric inpatient or academic hospital experience preferred \n
Compensation
\nThe anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $125,000 - $260,000 per year.
\nThe compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidates educational background, skills, and professional experience.
