The scrub tech works under the direction of the Registered Nurse.* The scrub tech assists the RN in maintaining the surgeon's preferences for listed surgical procedures of the specialty assigned.* Remain current with all the new procedures and assist other team members with instrumentation and equipment associated specifically with the specialty.* The collaborative efforts of both the RN and Scrub tech are the key to patient care excellence and physician satisfaction.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Team Member Competencies:*** Establishing Relationships* Builds effective networks, working relationships, and alliances in order to collaborate effectively within department and organization. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment.
