Located remotely, the therapist will have the flexibility of working from home while significantly impacting the mental well-being of our diverse clientele in Longview, Texas.

Work Environment\n

As a remote full-time Mental Health Therapist, you will have the opportunity to deliver therapeutic care through a Community Health Clinic model. You will utilize teletherapy and other digital platforms to connect with clients, fostering a therapeutic environment that transcends geographical boundaries. The daily schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of flexible hours to ensure accessibility for all clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain comprehensive insights into patients' needs and tailor individualized treatment plans accordingly.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting therapeutic modalities to resonate with the cultural dimensions and unique backgrounds of each patient.

• Provide a mix of individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing diverse mental health concerns to strengthen resilience and promote overall well-being among clients.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other allied health professionals to ensure holistic care and seamless continuity in treatment planning.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and mental health support, maintaining a calm demeanor while effectively navigating high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and families about mental health disorders, available services, and community resources, fostering awareness and empowerment.

• Document treatment progress accurately and confidentially in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving individuals from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including those identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community and immigrant populations. As a mental health therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored therapeutic interventions that recognize and honor the cultural specificities of each patient, enhancing engagement and therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• A current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or as a licensed Psychologist in the State of Texas.

• Profound understanding of mental health disorders, effective treatment methodologies, and the importance of cultural competence in therapy.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and group therapy through culturally responsive approaches.

• Effective crisis intervention skills, with an ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with diverse client populations.

• A strong sense of ethics, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Compensation and Benefits\n

New Hope Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
