Appeals Representative

Are you looking to grow your career in a fast-paced medical environment? As an Appeals Representative, you will play a key role in our revenue recovery process. You will review denied healthcare claims, analyze insurance carrier requirements, and prepare accurate appeals to resolve billing issues.

salary: $17.28 - $18 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Analyze denied claims to determine the correct next steps, ensuring compliance with payer-specific requirements.

• Prepare and submit claim appeals , gathering all necessary documentation within the billing system.

• Compile and transmit required documentation to payers in accordance with their established guidelines.

• Maintain expert knowledge of carrier requirements for claim appeals and related billing systems.

• Identify and report recurring billing errors that hinder accurate claim processing.

• Additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Skills

• Medical Billing (1 year of experience is required)
• Medical Billing - Denials (1 year of experience is preferred)
• ICD-10
• CPT Codes
• Microsoft Office
• Oral/Written Communication
• Self-Motivated
• Follow-up
