Structural Welder

Position Description Weld metal structural steel components together to fabricate and or install metal structures or supports according to customer specifications or blueprints utilizing MIG or Stick welding techniques. Job Responsibilities Weld metal structural components together. Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding. Work with erection team to complete the assigned tasks. Position and clamp together components prior to welding. Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in welding. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Must be able to MIG and stick weld Must pass required weld tests (varies per site). Must be willing to work outside craft. Workers are surrounded by hot materials and strong light. Must wear safety gear, including protective goggles, masks, face shields and safety shoes. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor/co-workers and understand direction from supervisor. Must be able to utilize basic math and read a tape measure or rule. May be required to work outside and be subject to severe weather as well. Required Tool List: Must have own Stinger 1 each 12\" Crescent wrench 1 each 3/4\" Spud Wrench 1 each 7/8\" Spud Wrench or Adjustable Spud Wrench 1 each 30\" Slever Bar
