POSITION SUMMARY: Performs activities to support patient care under the supervision of licensed staff to include: PT/PTA, OT/COTA or SLP. Perform technical tasks in the area of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrates ability to prepare therapy area for patient treatment as directed by therapist.
• Demonstrates ability to assist therapist in patient education or treatment procedures as directed.
• Demonstrates ability to use time effectively by utilizing tech schedule and communicating changes with treating staff with patient needs as first priority.
• Demonstrates safe use of and positioning of equipment to support patient care.
• Demonstrates knowledge of management of maladaptive behavior.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate or GED required. BLS required. First Aid certification preferred. Previous healthcare experience in therapy setting preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills required. Basic computer skills required.
