Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position focuses on supporting Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) within a dynamic setting at either a high school or junior high. Working closely with students and helping them achieve their communication goals, your contributions will be central to their success throughout the school year.

You’ll be part of a passionate school-based team, lending your skills as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) and fostering a positive impact within a supportive educational community. The contract runs from August 11th to June 3rd, with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule (30 hours weekly).

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

• SLPA certification or licensure required
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
• Familiarity with supporting SLPs in implementing therapy plans
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families
• Commitment to student-centered practices

Responsibilities:

• Assist SLPs in administering therapy to students as outlined in individualized education plans
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
• Support data collection and analysis for ongoing student evaluation
• Communicate observations and updates to supervising SLPs
• Participate in team meetings and support a positive, inclusive school culture
