Role responsibilities:

• Build and ship backend systems and product features, taking ownership from initial requirements through launch.
• Develop infrastructure that supports the company’s next stage of growth.
• Solve technical problems independently and deliver quickly.
• Maintain a strong focus on security and protecting customer information.
• For product engineering hires, develop a deep understanding of the product and contribute to user growth.

Essentials skills & experience: 

• Exceptional handson engineering ability, with strong coding, problem-solving and technical reasoning.
• Ability to own substantial features or systems independently, end to end.
• Strong backend and infrastructure capability for the immediate priority hires.
• Golang experience, engineers can interview in whatever language they like but must use Golang when joining
• High drive, speed of execution and comfort with startup ambiguity and workload.
• Security awareness and care for customer data.
• Ability to demonstrate technical depth in interviews, beyond an impressive CV.

Desirable skills & experience:

• Experience building and operating systems at significant scale. The founding engineering team specifically highlighted this preference.
• Experience combining strong engineering standards from Big Tech with startup pace and ownership.
• Earlystage or founding engineering experience.
• Strong academic background from a leading university, although this is not a requirement.
• Applied AI experience.
• Product judgement and experience building features that support user growth.
