The position is responsible for translating business requirements into practical, scalable technical architectures, spanning application, integration, data, and infrastructure domains, while ensuring non‑functional requirements such as supportability, resiliency, performance, and security are met.The role requires a balance of strategic architectural thinking and hands‑on technical execution, with direct involvement in design, deployment, and operational support.Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do:Essential Job Functions & TasksArchitecture & Solution DesignTranslate specific business requirements into end‑to‑end technical solution architectures, including:Application architectureIntegration architectureData architectureNon‑functional requirements (availability, resiliency, security, maintainability)Develop and apply architecture patterns and technology standards aligned to enterprise strategy, including:Application and integration patternsData center and platform architectureComputing paradigms and technology ecosystemsProvide architecture services supporting both current‑state optimization and future‑state planning.ServiceNow Platform & CMDB ArchitectureServe as a senior architecture resource supporting AEP’s on‑premise ServiceNow platform and CMDB.Perform platform and solution architecture activities, including:Estimation and planningTechnical design and development guidanceRequirements definition and design reviewsIntegration architecture with external platforms and systemsEnsure ServiceNow solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, operational models, and downstream dependencies.Systems Engineering & Technical ExecutionProvide hands‑on systems engineering, troubleshooting, and operational support across the ServiceNow ecosystem and supporting platforms, including:Tomcat application serversJava application stacks (JSWs, JVMs)Oracle databasesMID serversSupport and troubleshoot across required operating environments:LinuxWindowsAIXPartner closely with infrastructure, application, database, and security teams to diagnose and resolve complex platform and performance issues.What We're Looking For:Education requirements are listed below:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.Work Experience requirement listed below:6 years of relevant work experience is required.
