Unit School Of Medicine MBU Department Radiology Chief Purpose To provide specialized imaging interpretation in the Division ofNuclear Medicine with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. Thisfull-time nuclear medicine position will train residents in thelarge, highly productive academic radiology department. Duties & Responsibilities Teaching Provide training to medical students, residents& fellows who rotate through the Division of Nuclear Medicineincluding Nuclear Medicine residency, Radiology residency,Cardiology fellowship, Radiation Oncology residency, medicalstudent elective and serve as advisor to Nuclear Medicinetechnologist program, School of Allied Health. Research Oversight and implementation of clinicalresearch involving Nuclear Medicine facilities, including review ofprotocols involving Nuclear Medicine imaging services andradiopharmaceuticals treatments. Service Time and effort is expected to be devoted toacademic service-related activities. This shall include college,school, and departmental committee work, professional growth, andother such assignments. Clinical Provide high quality sub-specialized imaginginterpretations for assigned modalities in support of the referringphysicians and patients of the VCUHS. Responsibilities include allfacets of nuclear medicine (general planar imaging, SPECT andSPECT/CT, PET/CT, nuclear cardiology and radiopharmaceuticaltherapies). Special interest or skills in acute care imaging,Oncology and Pediatric Imaging.
