Supply Chain Customer Services Representative

About this Job General Summary of Position The incumbent performs data entry and various general administrative clerical duties in receiving and the storeroom. These functions comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Georgetown University Hospital's policies, procedures, and standards. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Enters, issues, and returns transactions into the inventory computer system prior to material issuance or shelving. Assists with issuing stock requested from the storeroom to walk‑up customers and handles general customer service needs. Provides data entry assistance to receiving staff as needed for transactions in the purchasing/receiving system and document filing. Performs quality assurance checks of entered data for receiving and inventory accuracy, including cycle counting and data verification. Provides excellent customer service in Materials Management: answers calls, responds to inquiries about product availability, handles returns, and solves problems to ensure customer satisfaction. Works with the Supply Chain Inventory and Project Coordinator to address storeroom or customer needs or complaints. May deliver products or supplies to a customer in emergencies when a Supply Chain Distribution Specialist is unavailable. Maintains a safe and clean work environment across all assigned areas, including break and supply storeroom area. Assists with data entry and preparation during Physical Inventory. Assumes additional duties as appropriate to the position and area. Minimal Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required. Experience 1–2 years of experience with data entry processes and computer skills. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Self‑motivated and able to work independently. Strong problem‑solving abilities.
