29 bed telemetry unit, is the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) primarily serving as an observation unit. Primary patient population is cardiac, medicine, and pre/post cardiac procedures. Patients are predominantly placed from ED, Cath Lab, and direct admission that meet CDU criteria. 1 year exp with PCU/Tele BLS, ACLS Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias O2 protocol management Non-invasive airway management Management of drips Peripheral line care/management Central line care/management Blood product administration Isolation precaution/PPE Computerized documentation Nurse to patient ratios 1:5 Rapid response team activation EPIC exp REQUIRE
