Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driving Role in Lynchburg VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location you will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. This driving position requires a valid drivers license. Use communication and customer service skills while documenting observations with computer or tablet tools. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors customers and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents customer concerns and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner notifying appropriate store contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor entrances parking areas and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for policy violations potential loss prevention concerns and other security-related issues.
• Document incidents observations and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
