Maintenance Mechanic Nights 6pm to 6am 2-2-3

Ocean Spray is now hiring Maintenance Mechanics at the Kenosha Bottling Plant. The plant is a 400,000 square foot facility that mixes and batches our concentrates to make Cranberry Sauce and Cranberry Juice products. It is a high‑speed manufacturing facility with recent upgrades to the bottling lines. The Maintenance Mechanics position is on a 12‑hour rotating shift from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. with every other weekend off. Mechanics earn a starting pay rate of $33.11 per hour to $40.31 per hour based on experience and skill levels, plus a shift differential of $0.75 per hour for the night shift. All positions are year‑round. You will also support line operations, assist with problems on the line, rework, coverage, troubleshooting, and line relief as needed. Comply with all quality, safety, attendance, and work‑rule requirements. Will perform other duties as directed. What We Are Looking For Mechanical troubleshooting skills Electrical troubleshooting Machine safety inspections Ability to use machines and technologies such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Allen Bradley, conveyor systems, and servo motors Must be able to work in a 24/7 environment, 12‑hour shifts, every other weekend, and possibly some holidays Ability to work overtime for vacation coverage and training purposes Must maintain excellent attendance reliability No deviation from required documentation; ensure information is timely, accurate and complete Communicate with team members on the same shift and between shifts to ensure continuous line productivity and effective operations Bottling, canning, and manufacturing experience – a plus PLS (AB) and ladder logic knowledge – a plus High school diploma or equivalency Ability to pass initial assessment What You Will Be Responsible For Perform regular and preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance on equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime Support line operations, assist with problems on the line, rework, coverage, troubleshooting, and line relief as needed Answer line calls and support operators Support changeovers to ensure they are performed efficiently and timely Train operators and other mechanics in all aspects of electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and operation Rebuild parts, fabricate materials, and update prints to maintain and upgrade equipment as required Takes corrective action as required by initiated work orders through the CMMS system or as circumstances dictate; write new work orders to account for unplanned corrective maintenance time Interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical ladder diagrams, and exploded parts diagrams Initiate purchase of required tools, parts, and materials; maintain accountability for tools issued Use proper lock‑out/tag‑out, confined space, and hot‑works permit to maintain a safe environment and comply with EHS procedural requirements Upgrade skills and knowledge as equipment and technology develop Ensure adherence to the NEC (National Electric Code) and NFPA code in all work performed Keep work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Require a valid forklift license (training provided by Ocean Spray) and complete routine maintenance checks; record repairs in a maintenance log Safely and competently operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and walk‑behind lifts (certification required; training provided) May be required to work outside or in cooler/freezer environments Complete all paperwork as required Other duties as assigned Who We Are You might have our iconic cranberry juice in your fridge or have gotten into heated holiday debate about what’s better – canned or fresh cranberry sauce.
