Urology APP (NP/PA) Job Identification: 681851 Posting Date: 04/22/2026, 11:01 AM Job Schedule: Full time Locations: Inova Fairfax Hospital Inova is looking for a dedicated, full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) needed for busy inpatient Urology service. Urology Advanced Practice Provider Job Responsibilities: Daily morning and afternoon rounding on inpatients and consults, Daily writing of progress notes Assessment and verbal presentation of ER and inpatient consults Writing of consult notes for attending review Performing or assisting with bedside procedures (for example: complex catheter placements (including intraoperatively for other surgical subspecialties), complex catheter removal, suprapubic catheter exchanges, urinary catheter irrigation for clot retention, irrigation of priapism, incision and drainage of scrotal abscesses, and others) Placing orders for admissions and discharges Ordering and interpreting labs and radiologic studies Fielding phone calls from beside nurses Multidisciplinary care coordination and patient education. Outpatient visits Some opportunity exists for first-assisting in the OR, as service needs permit or require. Additional Requirements: Work schedule: 8 hour shifts: Monday thru Friday Education: Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program Experience : Prefer a provider with prior urology experience (inpatient or outpatient), or with a minimum of 2 years of any clinical experience.
