We believe in building a supportive environment where we all work together to help Southern Illinois grow.How You'll Make a Difference The Universal Head Teller is the bridge between branch management and frontline service. By coordinating schedules, supervising complex processes like wire transfers, and managing the branch vault and ATM, you ensure the branch runs smoothly and securely. Your leadership in coaching tellers and maintaining strict regulatory compliance protects the credit union's integrity while providing a "best-in-class" experience for our members.What You'll DoFrontline Leadership: Coordinate scheduling and daily duties for the teller team, setting a professional example and handling performance evaluations and coaching.Master Cash Management: Maintain total accountability for the branch vault, ATM, and cash recyclers-managing the ordering, receiving, and disbursement of cash supplies.Expanded Member Support: Beyond standard transactions, you'll help members open accounts, manage direct deposits, handle stop payments, and resolve basic bookkeeping questions.Wire & Card Oversight: Supervise the wire transfer process and assist with card services tasks to ensure fast and accurate member support.Proactive Growth: Actively cross-sell credit union products and introduce members to new financial solutions that meet their needs.Security & Compliance Champion: Ensure the highest level of security on the teller line, maintaining records in accordance with all industry regulations and internal policies.What You BringThe Heart: A supportive leadership style and a dedication to maintaining a professional, high-trust environment for both staff and members.The Experience: At least six months of cashier/money handling experience is required (previous leadership experience in a financial setting is a plus).The Education: High school diploma or equivalent.The Leadership Skills: Strong decision-making abilities and the administrative judgment to manage staff confidentiality and performance documentation.The Essentials: Must be bondable and detail-orientedWhy You'll Love It HereCommunity Impact: See the direct results of your work in your own backyard.Collaboration: A culture that ditches "us vs. them" for a supportive team environment.Benefits: Paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) profit share optionsSchedule & LocationStatus: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Supervisory)Location: On-site – Branch LocationHours: Monday – Friday with a Saturday rotationReady to Join Us?
