Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine physician employment in Arizona : TeamHealth is seeking a qualified physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our emergency department team at Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear, Arizona. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in collaboration with board-certified emergency medicine physicians and an interdisciplinary clinical team. If you are a PA or NP who is clinically confident, team-oriented, and comfortable practicing in a fast-paced EM environment, you'll make a great addition to our team.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting to the EDPerform focused histories and physical examinationsOrder, interpret, and document diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs, etc.)Develop and implement treatment plans for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuriesPerform procedures within scope of practice and demonstrated competencyCollaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and consultants to ensure optimal patient careAccurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical recordParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education as requiredComply with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standardsQualificationsGraduate of an accredited PA or NP programCurrent Arizona state licensure or eligibilityNational certification (NCCPA for PAs or AANP/ANCC for NPs)DEA licenseACLS and PALS requiredEM experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered)Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skillsSchedule and Work EnvironmentLevel I ED setting with 24/7 coverageShift times: 6a-6p, 10a-10p, 6p-6aHigh-acuity, fast-paced environment with a collaborative care modelAbrazo West serves as a teaching facility for Midwestern UniversityAbout Abrazo West CampusAbrazo West Campus is a full-service medical center serving the growing West Valley community.
