Quality Technician

Title: Quality Technician Job Type: Contract Contract Length: 6 months Pay Range: $40 - $45/hr Start Date: ASAP Location: Onsite - Hayward, CA About the Opportunity Our client, a leader in Autonomous Vehicle Technology, is looking for a skilled Quality Technician to join their team for a 6 month engagement. This project involves supporting the Manufacturing Engineering team, performing root cause analysis on vehicles, and documenting findings to ensure product quality and high reliability. This is a high-impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables Perform root cause analysis on vehicles, recording findings, and communicating critical information to cross‑functional teams. Read technical drawings and CAD to understand part design and intended assembly. Develop and document troubleshooting techniques, and work with Manufacturing Engineering to identify and communicate trends. Create and update quality documents, and develop training plans for inspection, quality standards, and quality alerts. Required Skills & Experience 4+ years of experience as a quality technician (or HS Diploma/GED with 6‑8 years of experience). Deep expertise in performing root cause analysis and the ability to read PFMEA and Control Plans. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals. Broad technical background in mechanical and electrical systems, and the ability to read technical drawings and understand CAD models.
