Technical Product Owner

IDR Healthcare

IDR is seeking a Technical Product Owner to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves leading AI-driven product lifecycle management within an innovative engineering environment focused on AI-native solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex business needs into technical requirements and validate AI-generated artifacts throughout the development process.

Position Overview for the Technical Product Owner :

Lead discovery and requirements gathering for assigned initiatives by collaborating with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Translate business and operational requirements into detailed technical specifications, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process diagrams.
Manage AI-assisted tools to generate and validate requirements artifacts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and business rule alignment.
Maintain the product backlog, ensuring continuous refinement and prioritization of work items for new feature development and technical sustainability.
Partner with engineering teams on complex integration decisions, technical feasibility assessments, and solution design.

Requirements for the Technical Product Owner :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on software development experience
3+ years of experience in technical product ownership, solutions analysis, or software engineering in an Agile environment
Working knowledge of software development, architecture assessment, and evaluation of technical approaches
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, relational database design, data modeling, and web application architecture
Demonstrated experience as a primary author of user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation
