Join us and make a difference in the lives of children and families from day one.If you're passionate about pediatric care and ready to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, family-focused environment, apply today or learn more at the RoleAt KidMed, you'll be able to make a difference every day, every patient and with the support of experienced providers and hands-on training to help you grow confidently in pediatric urgent care.Equipment and trained support staff to accommodate patients with acute needs from birth through age 25Opportunity to perform procedures: laceration repairs/multilayer closures, I&D of abscesses, reduction of finger/toe fractures, foreign body removal, ingrown toenails, etc.Ability to treat fevers from the source with work-up down to 29 days oldAnaphylaxis treatment and respiratory distressCardiac issues, chest pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody stoolsGenitourinary, Neurologic, Ortho, and DermIn-house clinic for: suction, DME, IV fluids, and blood draws, injectable meds, and lab workSupport for our providers and their patients with direct admits, navigation of specialist referrals for same/next day follow up, and close ties with local pediatric specialistsRequired Education and ExperienceGraduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant programValid license (or eligibility) to practice as a NP/PA in the state of VirginiaValid DEA License (or ability to obtain prior to start date)Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)Interest or experience in pediatricsPrevious experience in emergency or urgent care is a plus, but not requiredAbout Our BenefitsBase pay starts at $40/hour and increases up to $60/hour based on relevant experience.Productivity -based bonus program that begins at 2.8 patients per hour, with additional earnings for exceeding this threshold.
