As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff by identifying and mitigating infection risks.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct surveillance and monitoring of infection rates and trends

• Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures

• Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control best practices

• Develop and maintain infection prevention and control manuals and guidelines

• Coordinate and participate in infection control committees and other quality improvement initiatives

• Ensure adherence to CMS, OSHA and other regulations; maintain documentation for audits and inspections

• Conduct infection control assessments and make recommendations for improvement

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to infection prevention and control

Requirements:

• Current certification in infection prevention and control or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire

• Minimum 1 year of experience in LTC or infection prevention and control

• Experienced RN or LPN

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
