As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entrances, managing visitor and badge access, and responding to security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.66 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location. Monitor entry points and verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures, including reviewing identification, visitor credentials, and delivery documentation. Maintain visitor logs, issue and recover access credentials as directed, and provide clear directions to approved areas of the facility. Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of designated entry areas, restricted locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
