Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) with specialization in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor is sought for a position at a healthcare facility in Northport, Alabama. The role involves providing patient-centered care in a dynamic rehabilitation environment, supporting patients' recovery journeys from stroke, hip fracture, pulmonary issues, and other conditions. The RN will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient progress and ensure comprehensive medical supervision during inpatient rehabilitation.

Job Details:

• Location: Northport, Alabama
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associate degree in nursing; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross certification; Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or with a Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted); at least 2 years of experience, or 18 months under professional license with 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a rehabilitation or medical-surgical setting; ability to float to other units and hospitals; previous experience with high-acuity patient populations is advantageous
• Additional Information: The successful candidate must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. The position requires coverage on holidays as needed, including every other holiday. The role involves patient-facing clinical responsibilities, with a focus on supporting patients' functional recovery and independence. The facility utilizes Meditech electronic medical records. The position is a contract contractor replacement, with 36 guaranteed hours weekly. Parking is available.
