Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Chicago Behavioral Hospital | Des Plaines, Illinois
Chicago Behavioral Hospital is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team in Des Plaines, IL . This critical leadership position will serve as a key advisor to the CEO and will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial strategy, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and long-term financial health.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in healthcare finance, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive strategic decision-making in a behavioral health environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $180,000 - $190,000 annually
- Bonus Eligibility: Performance-based annual incentive bonus
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, paid time off
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute the hospital's financial strategy.
- Create and present financial, operational, and tax strategy recommendations.
- Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) activities.
- Oversee cash flow, treasury management, working capital, and financial controls.
- Direct accounting operations, financial reporting, and annual audit processes.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Provide oversight and leadership for the Accounting, Business Office, and Information Technology departments.
- Evaluate operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Support strategic growth initiatives, capital planning, and organizational development efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 7-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Prior experience in a psychiatric hospital, behavioral health, or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated success managing audits, financial compliance, and regulatory reporting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required.
