As an Unarmed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security‑related concerns with integrity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $14.11 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
