Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the accounting operations of AMain. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and assisting in the day-to-day management of the accounting team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in a fast-paced e-commerce or retail environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Close ProcessAssist in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statementsEnsure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAPAccounting OperationsOversee general ledger activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accountingSupport revenue recognition and cost accounting processesMonitor and improve accounting workflows and systemsInternal Controls & ComplianceMaintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policiesAssist with audits (internal and external), including preparation of schedules and documentationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsAnalysis & Process ImprovementAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunitiesDrive process improvements and automation initiativesAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesRequirementsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3-5+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingAdvanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systemsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferredExperience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-heavy environmentsFamiliarity with QuickbooksExperience managing or mentoring team membersSkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesEffective communication and collaboration skillsHigh level of integrity and accountability
