Licensed Child & Adolescent Therapist (School-Based)

Job Category Mental Health Employee Type Exempt Contact information Email View email address on click.appcast.io Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a full-time Mental Health Therapist (1.0 FTE) to join our Behavioral Health department. This position serves a wide array of patient concerns and collaborates with medical staff to support the organization’s mission and values. This position will provide psychotherapeutic services to school-aged children through our School-Based Mental Health Program (two days per week in Pierce County school districts) and provide services at our Spring Valley Clinic location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Completes assessments, develops treatment plans, and delivers accepted, evidence-based therapeutic procedures to assist patients with their presenting complaints; Documents interventions in the electronic medical record, including intake or diagnostic assessment, progress notes, treatment plan, 90‑day reviews, as well as a discharge summary when a patient completes care; Collaborates with colleagues and develops positive working relationships with medical and support staff; Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed or license‑eligible in the State of Wisconsin Preferred Qualifications Experience providing psychotherapy and play therapy to children 1.0 FTE – 40 hours per week Performance Standards We expect the qualified candidate to adhere to all appropriate ethical standards as outlined in their particular professional associations, the State of Wisconsin’s Statutes and guidelines, as well as Western Wisconsin Health’s own expectations and requirements for professional conduct. About Western Wisconsin Health Western Wisconsin Health is an integrated hospital and family practice clinic located in Western Wisconsin, just 30 minutes from downtown St. Paul on I‑94. The behavioral health team consists of mental health therapists, as well as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and a Psychiatric Physician Assistant. The team provides mental health services to children as young as four all the way to geriatric patients.
